High School Students wanting to attend DXATC classes or participate in Certificate Programs must speak to their school counselors and arrange a schedule.

If necessary, they must also arrange transportation to where the class is being held if not at their High School.

The Building Construction Program is designed to teach and develop basic skills required in the planning and building of residential structures. Most of the trades involved in building a home are included in the training program.

Students learn to perform such tasks as coloring, permanents, applying make-up, cutting and styling. They will receive training required to earn a state license. Successful completion of the program prepares students to take state boards. Students who want to enter this program will need to work closely with their high school counselor. Registration forms are completed at each of the participating schools: Evans Beauty College, Hairitage Hair Academy, Paul Mitchell The School, or Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair Design.

Students learn valuable skills that prepare them for jobs in many companies in the area. In this program results happen through learning. This is a competency based program, which is in line with the State Competency Test for welding.
